I qualified in South Africa in 1995. After graduating, I initially worked in Gold Mine hospitals before moving to UK. I have over 20 years of diversified managerial and clinical experience in community and acute settings within both Paediatrics and Adult Services abroad and in the NHS and Private Sectors.
I have additional training and experience in Sensory Integration, Therapeutic Listening.
I work with children and young persons who may have specific diagnosis or no diagnosis including but not limited to Autism, Delayed Development, Down's Syndrome, ADHD, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Neurological and Orthopaedic conditions and Mental Health, rare conditions that impact the child or young persons daily life.
I have specialism in upper limb/hand splinting, specialist seating and postural management.
Therapy takes place in Nurseries, Schools, Homes and within a Clinic Space.
My satisfaction is seeing the children and young persons achieve their full potential.
The happiness between parents/carers and their children as they thrive for their independence no matter how small the achievements are, make it all worth while.
I provide initial assessments, consultations, assessment reports including Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP). I use a client centred approach to determine the best way to help client achieve their goals and optimal daily function.
My aim is to improve you and/or your child's skills daily living skills so that your child can thrive in their daily independence with self care, playing, education, social interaction.
Each session assures that you and/or your child enhance your skills each time you attend, allowing you to see the difference.
